May 2, 2010 | Filed under: Health and tagged with: air sickness, air sickness bag, air sickness cure, car sickness, prevent air sickness, travel sickness

Motion sickness is very common among travelers. It happens usually when your ears detect movements, but your eye does not. It is a usual occurrence when you’re in some moving vehicle. Brain tends to get confused due to the conflicting signal as well as assume that you have been disillusioned.

So it kicks off a self-defense mechanism that makes you ill. Airsickness is similar to the motion sickness. It is very common in the flight travelers. There are certain things that you should do to avoid the sickness in flights.

A number of air sickness medicines are available over the counter. Medicines like Dramamine and Bonine are to be taken just before take off and landing. These medicines prevent mixed signals reaching your brain and put off that horrible sick feeling.

For some people, the acupressure wristbands have also proven to be helpful. Though results have varied among people, if you are suffering from air sickness do give it a try.

Maximize your time on your seat. Sitting reduces the amount of mixed signals that are generated. Try to relax, put on some music and avoid thinking about the sickness. Sitting near the wings of the air craft is also helpful as these areas are the most stable.

Therefore eat the right amount, think about happy and positive things and sit right are the three major cues to avoid air sickness. Through these things you can avoid the sickness.
